RØDE

NT2000 Studio Condenser Microphone
RØDE The NT2000 is a large diaphragm microphone with 1? diaphragm with numerous applications.

The large diaphragm gives you a high output, and a sound with many frequencies. That you get many frequencies, means your sound will be more detailed. To help the NT2000 pick up as many frequencies as possible, phantom power of either 24 or 48 volts is required. The power supply helps the diaphragm to vibrate, making it easier for the NT2000 to reproduce your sound as faithfully as possible. The diaphragm sits in a gold mount, ensuring a long life for your microphone's units. Rust can sometimes occur in powered microphones, but the gold cannot oxidize.

Use the microphone as a noise cancelling microphone, where the NT2000 only picks up sounds in a focused area in front of the microphone.
This is useful, for example, when you need a microphone that has less tendency to howl. You can also change the NT2000 to omni microphone if you have a requirement for a microphone that can pick up a lot of detail from your sound. Finally, the NT2000 can also be switched to an eight-way microphone, and thus used for blumlein stereo recordings. Blumlein stereo recordings are usually something that requires two microphones.
So you save setting up an extra microphone, because with this feature the NT2000 can pick up sound from both the front and the back.
All these functions are located on the front of the NT2000, and are thus easily accessible and quick to switch between.
