The redesigned cymbal pad (CY-5) has a playing zone of 12" and can move in a swinging motion for more play-friendly triggering.
With the pad you also get separate triggers for cymbal flat and edge. The CY-5 can also be used as an additional cymbal, such as Splash, on V-Drum kits.
