- Tip: LP1964 shells have a slightly smaller shell diameter. The quality and properties of the components are identical to regular hand-picked bongo heads. The stated head sizes fit the crown diameter (the largest shell diameter of bongos and djembes). This was done to harmonize the sizes of REMO and LP congas. For LP bongos with 5 1/2", 7 1/4" and 8 5/8" sizes, please use 5 1/4", 7" and 8,5" heads.
