MORPH 3

MORPH 3 is a real-time plug-in for audio morphing, the sonic equivalent of an object slowly changing its shape to become another object – for example, one face turning into another. Supercharged with a selection of up to 11 different morphing algorithms, a style transfer and file playback module, transient bypass options, an exceptionally clean formant shifter, as well as a lush reverb that seems to extend sounds much like some highly regarded vintage hardware boxes, MORPH 3 opens up a whole new universe of sounds to explore.

MORPH version 3 is a significant update to version 2 and comes in two variants: MORPH 3 and MORPH 3 PRO.

FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS

New features shared by MORPH 3 and MORPH 3 PRO:

• 4 new morphing algorithms: INTERWEAVE V3, IMPRINT SMOOTH, IMPRINT CRYSTAL, ENHARMONIC. The full V2 algorithm suite is of course also included, for a total of 9 algorithms.
• New MODELER module providing particle/granular synthesis-based style transfer functionality, as well as direct file playback.
• Improved FORMANT SHIFTER with a +-24 semitones range; the v2 formant shift algorithm can be enabled for the v2 algorithms to get the exact v2 sound, using a prefs setting.
• New TRANSIENT BYPASS module that can significantly improve morphing results. Transients are taken from the A and B morphing inputs and added back with their mix controlled by the morphing X/Y control. Transients can be boosted and can also bypass the formant shifter for increased clarity.
• Optional internal double precision processing - internal processing can be switched to 64-bit for increased resolution.
• New soft-knee output limiter.
• Redesigned, scalable UI with an interactive signal flow diagram design, built with vector graphics for crisp visuals when zooming, with up to 200% UI scaling for 4k and larger screens.
• New Preset Manager application.
• Previous/Next Preset can now be controlled via MIDI for improved accessibility.

In addition, MORPH 3 PRO adds:

• 2 additional algorithms, FUSION and SONANCE, for a total of 11 algorithms.
• A multi-zone mapping editor and additional analysis functions for advanced control of the MODELER module.
• An additional DETAIL algorithm for the TRANSIENT BYPASS module.
• Lowcut/highcut filters for all mixer channels.

SPECIFICATIONS

MORPH 3 and MORPH 3 PRO support all common sample rates from 44.1kHz to 192kHz, depending on available CPU resources, and run as 64-bit AAX Native, AU, VST 2.4 and VST 3. Plug-ins support macOS 10.15.x or later, on Intel & Apple Silicon processors, and Windows 10 or later. MORPH 3 and MORPH 3 PRO use PACE copy protection, which requires a free ilok.com account, and can be activated to your computer’s hard drive or an iLok 2 or newer USB dongle.

Channel Layouts

MORPH 3 and MORPH 3 PRO generally come as two binaries, MORPH 3 (PRO) and MORPH 3 (PRO) Dual Mono In. The MORPH 3 (PRO) binary uses the plug-in main input as MAIN IN, and has a side-chain input it uses as AUX IN. The Dual Mono In version uses the left plug-in input as MAIN IN, and the right plug-in input as AUX IN. To accommodate the quirks of the various plugin formats and DAWs, some plug-in formats include a DualStereoIn (quad-to-stereo) version.

Copy Protection

This software uses the latest PACE copy protection, which allows you to place your activation on your machine or on an iLok 2* (or newer; not included). You will need a free iLok.com account to use our software, even for the demos - but you don’t necessarily need the iLok 2 dongle if your machine has internet access (activating a system without an internet connection requires an iLok 2 device). All required software is installed along with our plugins, but we generally recommend downloading the latest versions directly from iLok.com.
