Sobor

Sobor is a stereo reverberation effect AU, AAX and VST plug-in for professional music production applications. This reverb plug-in offers a wide range of reverb spaces, while requiring only minimal effort to achieve useful results. The tails created by this reverb are very dense and produce well-defined spatialisation. As the reverb uses a kind of “true-stereo” algorithm, panning effects receive strong placement in the stereo field. We believe that Sobor offers some of the lushest and widest reverb tails on the market.

The placement of early reflections and reverb levels is automatically selected based on a predefined model that depends on the parameters “Size” and “Ambience”. In addition, the user can specify the parameters “Pre-Delay” and “Stereo width”. Sobor is technically based on Feedback Delay Networks (FDNs) with the Hadamard matrix and uses self-modulation techniques.

Sobor sounds great on any sound source: vocals, synths, drums, mixes. This reverb is a relatively CPU-intensive effect (it uses 7.5% of a single core of the i7-7700K processor at 44100 sample rate), and for comfortable use it requires a higher-end processor.
