Voltage Modular is the most feature-rich, sonically flexible software modular platform in the world. Voltage Modular removes all patching limitations and introduces groundbreaking new ways to build complex patches with fewer cables. Unlimited cables per jack enable endless modulation possibilities. The new Busses function offers an ingenious new way to build complex patches and eliminate messy cables. Variations takes modular synthesis in unprecedented new directions, with unlimited variations available per patch. Play variations individually, or use triggers or CV to move through variations in endless ways.
The IO panel now includes an integrated recording section that generates crystal-clear 32-bit floating-point audio files derived from the IO panel’s main left and right outputs. Workflow improvements are everywhere in Voltage Modular, from custom module categories and search terms to optional auto-alignment of modules in cabinets. Voltage Modular is a cross-platform virtual modular synthesizer instrument and platform for OS X and Windows. Voltage Modular supports AU, VST2, VST3 and Pro Tools AAX formats, as well as standalone operation. All plug-in formats can be used as both virtual instrument and effects plug-ins. User preferences and cabinet files can be freely exchanged across platforms.

Sound Quality:
All audio processing in Voltage Modular 2.0 uses 64-bit double precision math and all module processes are zero-latency and operate on individual samples for true modular performance. Modules:
In addition to "industry-standard" oscillator, filter, envelope generator, voltage-controlled amplifier, and utility modules, the Voltage Modular package includes innovative modules for extended creativity, including a polyphonic oscillator with fast and easy MIDI setup, CV and MIDI input and output modules for easy interfacing with other virtual instruments and external hardware synthesizers, the Formula module, which uses a wide range of mathematical equations for audio and control signals, and much more. The Misfit Audio Electro Drums package includes 15 classic analog drum and percussion modules plus a dedicated sequencer, which combine to create a powerful and easy-to-program standalone vintage drum machine.
Expandability:
The innovative module browser allows users to automatically install modules and sound presets directly from within Voltage Modular for instant expansion. The number of modules and cabinets contained in a patch is limited only by the computer’s CPU performance.
Developer Friendly:
The exclusive Module Designer Software application (sold separately) allows software developers to design and program custom modules with virtually no functional limitations. Finished modules can be added to Voltage Module, allowing third-party developers to build new modules that perform almost any audio, MIDI or signal processing function. Module development is lightning-fast, and all modules are inherently cross-platform.
