VP Brainiac II

Thanks to its meticulously modelled VCA circuit design, VP BRAINIAC II is ideal for handling transient-heavy and highly dynamic audio sources.

Vari-Mu units are usually considered the ultimate valve compressors due to their ability to apply massive amounts of gain reduction while still remaining musical and transparent. However, within VCA units, attack and release times are faster than any valve compressor.

Accurately recreated in the plugin is the unique Release Mode switch, which changes the release response from Linear to Logarithmic, enabling even more musical results.

Another key feature of VP BRAINIAC II, taken directly from tricks of the original hardware, is its peak reversion correction circuitry, which compensates for the loss of low frequencies under heavy compression.
