Wireless phone charger – welcome to the future

More and more new phones are made to be charged wirelessly. This means it is no longer necessary to connect the phone with a charging cable when the battery needs power. Both new iPhones and many newer Android phones from, for example, Samsung are now prepared for wireless charging.

With wireless charging, the mobile phone simply needs to touch the charging unit. This is called inductive charging and works on roughly the same principle as an induction hob, where energy is transferred between the two units when they touch each other.

What options are available for wireless charging?

This allows your phone to establish a wireless connection with the charging unit, and that way you can also avoid the hassle of dealing with the cable.
