Description
Description
Consumer devices as well as many professional keyboards such as synthesizers and digital pianos, and some small mixers, have unbalanced outputs. To connect them to a professional audio system and avoid interfering noise over long cable runs, balanced signal routing is required. For this purpose, Palmer kyll provides the necessary signal balancing.
Thanks to galvanic isolation via a transformer, kyll also eliminates ground loops. This is done simply by activating the ground lift switch. Devices that already have balanced outputs also benefit from this, as noise can occur here too. Palmer kyll reliably removes hum and buzz.
Palmer kyll can handle very high levels. Compared to conventional line isolators for media applications, it can process much “hotter” input signals without unwanted distortion becoming audible: up to +20 dBu! But kyll can also process weaker signals without causing any change in sound or noise, because it operates completely passively with large isolation transformers. This makes Palmer kyll extremely easy to use and reliable in operation, as it requires neither batteries nor phantom power. Conveniently, the inputs are designed as combo sockets that accept jack or XLR connectors. Adapters are unnecessary! The balanced outputs are implemented as professional XLR sockets.
The kyll line isolation box is a universal problem solver for eliminating humming ground loops. When connecting unbalanced equipment, the signal is also balanced at the same time. Whether at home, for lectures, in the rehearsal room, on stage, in clubs or at large events, Palmer kyll ensures clean audio without noise.
