Palmer mosel is a no-compromise, premium-quality DI box with useful extra features. Its active circuitry ensures an especially high input impedance for a punchy, clean sound. The unbalanced, high-impedance signal from magnetic and piezo pickups is converted into a low-impedance, balanced output signal without any loss of brilliance – even over longer cable runs. Palmer mosel is also ideal for synthesizers and other electronic keyboards, as it is exceptionally stable.
The output transformer – which provides galvanic isolation to eliminate ground loops – can handle studio levels up to +20 dBu. In addition, mosel is enclosed in Mu-metal to eliminate electromagnetic interference.
Palmer mosel offers two truly special extra features: a variable pad (-10/20/30 dB) and a boost function (+12 dB). These features ensure you can always achieve the optimum level for noise-free recordings. mosel is also extremely practical, because the unbalanced input is available not only on a jack, but also via XLR sockets. This makes unstable adapters unnecessary. The ground lift switch – for disconnecting the ground connection – also has a soft lift setting. Power for mosel can be supplied either via 48V phantom power or a 9V battery.
