If you need to capture the pure sound of your guitar, bass or keyboard, you need a high-quality DI box that doesn’t change the natural sound or add noise.
Palmer Wipper is a passive, single-channel DI box with a high-quality transformer that also handles high levels without distortion or losing the instrument’s pure sound. With a 10:1 ratio, it can be used for optimal impedance and level matching, allowing instrument signals from guitars, basses, keyboards or synthesizers to be connected to a balanced microphone input. At the same time, galvanic isolation prevents hum from ground loops, so the signal remains clean, clear and ultra-low-noise – without any kind of interference. Thanks to a switchable 30 dB pre-attenuation, Wipper can also be inserted between an amplifier output and a speaker.
Palmer Wipper is a user-friendly problem solver. The passive design means it doesn’t need batteries or phantom power. This makes it extremely reliable in operation and also virtually indestructible thanks to its aluminium and steel housing. With its ability to preserve the instrument’s natural sound, it also excels in both studio and live environments. That way, you can simply stay true to your sound.
- Balancing and impedance matching for guitar, bass, keyboards & synthesizers
- Eliminates ground loop hum thanks to galvanic transformer isolation
- Extremely fail-safe, no power supply required
