The DP-006 is a compact, battery-powered multitrack recorder designed for on-the-spot recordings, with two condenser microphones in the front. It can record vocals and acoustic guitar without any additional equipment.The unit can also be mounted on a stand. With control knobs, built-in chromatic tuner, metronome and a lightweight design, this Pocketstudio is extremely user-friendly. The DP-006 offers two inputs for external microphones, an electric guitar or a line-level device such as a synthesizer. With an external converter cable, tablet devices like iPads can be connected. Recordings can be stored on universal SD/SDHC cards (2GB card included). All song ideas can be transferred via USB 2.0, or SD card readers from the device at any time during the recording process. Basic editing functions are also available. Battery life can be extended by connecting the DP-006 directly to Tascam's external battery pack (BP-6AA) via USB.
