Ernie Ball Paradigm Skinny Top Heavy Bottom is a 6-string electric guitar set for players who want the classic Slinky tone and easy bends, but are tired of strings that break, lose intonation or die too quickly. The Paradigm construction is built for extra high breaking strength and a longer lifespan, so you can play hard and stay stable – even when you bend aggressively and dig in with your picking hand.
The plain strings are reinforced at the ball-end/twist with RPS technology, providing higher tensile strength and a lower risk of breakage right where many plain strings typically fail. On the wound strings you get nickel-plated steel roundwound on a high-strength steel hex core, plus plasma-treated wrap wire for extra toughness. At the same time, the Everlast nano/corrosion treatment protects against dirt, rust and corrosion, so the strings’ snap, punch and clear attack last longer, and the feel stays smooth and “new-string”-like for longer.
The “Skinny Top Heavy Bottom” gauge concept combines lighter treble strings for smooth bends with heavier bass strings for a tighter low end, more weight in riffs and more authority in power chords. The set is for standard electric guitar with ball-end and is supplied as 1 set with 6 strings in individual packaging. The gauges correspond to 0,025–0,132 cm (10–52), and the set is especially well suited to rock, metal and anything where you want both playing comfort on top and a solid foundation under your chords.
