Ernie Ball 2016 Paradigm Burly Slinky is an electric guitar string set for players who pick hard, do lots of bends and want fewer string changes due to breakage. The Paradigm series is developed for extra-high durability and break resistance, so you can play more aggressively and still rely on the strings – without losing the familiar Slinky experience.

Here you get plain strings in high-carbon steel and wound strings with nickel-plated steel wrap on a strong hex-core high-carbon steel core. The plain strings are reinforced at the ball end with RPS (brass wire wrap), which helps stability and reduces the risk of weak points at the ball-end. At the same time, plasma treatment and Everlast nano technology provide an effective barrier against sweat, moisture and oxidation, so the tone stays fresh for longer. Everything is designed to feel “uncoated” – smooth and classic – instead of the typical coated feel.

The set is perfect for rock/metal, heavier picking, and players who want more low end, a tighter response and better control in lower tunings. The gauges are .011–.052, which corresponds to approx. 0,028–0,132 cm (high to low), and provides a more solid tension than standard 10 sets. You get 6 strings with colour-coded ball ends, supplied in corrosion-resistant packaging, so they’re ready to perform from the very first strike.
