Ernie Ball Paradigm Primo Slinky is an electric guitar string set for those who want to avoid broken strings and quickly dull tone, while still keeping the familiar, classic Slinky sound and playing feel. You get significantly higher break strength and longer lifespan, so you can bend hard, pick aggressively and play long sessions without the string giving up at the critical moment.

The core is high-strength steel in both plain and wound strings, and the wound strings are roundwound in nickel-plated steel for a crisp top end, clear attack and the warm, “singing” midrange response many associate with Slinky. Everlast nano treatment combined with plasma-treated wrap wire makes the strings more resistant to sweat, dirt and corrosion, so they feel smooth and “fresh” for longer. At the same time, the plain strings are reinforced at the ball end (ball-end) right where many typically experience breakage.

Gauge 9.5–44 (Primo Slinky) is the ideal compromise between 9s and 10s: a little more body, stability and intonation tension than a 9–42 set, while still offering light, fast playability that makes bends and vibrato easy. You get 6 ball-end strings for standard electric guitar, packed in a sealed foil bag inside the outer packaging; the product code in the foil pack is used for the manufacturer’s Paradigm warranty/replacement process, so it’s a good idea to keep the packaging.
