Ernie Ball Paradigm 80/20 Bronze Medium is an acoustic steel-string set for anyone who wants that familiar bright, crisp 80/20 bronze tone – but without having to change strings all the time. The Paradigm series is built for extreme durability and high break strength, so the strings better withstand heavy picking, lots of bends and a demanding playing life, while also locking in tuning quickly and keeping it stable when you play through.

The core is made from high-strength steel, and the wound strings use 80/20 bronze wrap for the classic Earthwood-style attack, clear overtones and distinct chord separation. The secret behind the long lifespan lies in the combination of an ultra-thin Everlast nanotreatment and a plasma-enhanced surface on the wrap wire, which helps prevent rust, corrosion and dirt build-up. The result is a “treated-not-coated” feel, where the strings feel more like traditional uncoated strings than many heavily coated alternatives.

The set fits a 6-string acoustic guitar and is a Medium set that provides higher tension and more “body” in the tone – ideal for strumming, heavy picking, drop tunings and a strong right hand. Gauges are .013–.056 (approx. 0.33–1.42 mm), making them noticeably more solid under the fingers than Light sets; some players may experience a slightly stiffer feel and possibly more finger squeak, especially on a very bright guitar or with an aggressive technique.
