Ernie Ball 2240 RPS Regular Slinky is a classic 10–46 electric guitar set, made for those who want the familiar Slinky feel, but with extra security on the thinner strings. The RPS reinforcement (Reinforced Plain Strings) is designed to reduce breakage and slipping at the ball end – especially on the E, B and G – so you can play harder, do more bends and use tremolo with greater peace of mind.

Tonally, you get the well-known combination of clarity, attack and that “true electric-guitar sparkle”: nickel-plated steel roundwound on a hex core delivers a firm pick response and a balanced, classic rock/pop tone that works across styles. The plain strings are made from high-carbon steel for a direct, lively feel, and the set typically stays stable in tuning once the strings have been properly stretched in.

The set is for 6-string electric guitar and is a perfect all-round standard choice if you like Regular Slinky tension. The gauges are 0.25 mm, 0.33 mm, 0.43 mm, 0.66 mm (w), 0.91 mm (w) and 1.17 mm (w) – a combination that feels flexible on the treble strings while still offering control and fullness on the low strings.
