Ernie Ball 2247 Stainless Steel Hybrid Slinky is a 6-string electric guitar set for players who want fast, easy playability on the top strings while keeping a more stable, punchy low end for riffs and rhythm playing. The hybrid gauge concept delivers “light trebles, heavy basses”, so your bends feel easy and controlled, while the thicker bass strings provide a stronger foundation, a tighter response and less “flap” when you dig in.

Here you get a stainless steel winding (roundwound), which delivers a bright, crisp and cutting tone with clear harmonics and plenty of definition. This helps the guitar cut through in a dense band mix, especially if you play rock, metal, funk or modern pop where you need a clear attack. Under the winding is a tin-plated, hexagonal steel core wire, which typically gives a tighter, more stable feel and contributes to solid tuning stability. And because stainless steel is naturally more corrosion-resistant, this set is ideal if you want longer life between string changes.

The set fits a standard 6-string electric guitar and is supplied as one string set in flat retail packaging (approx. 1.0 × 10.7 × 10.7 cm). You get brass ball ends with colour coding, making it quick to find the right string during installation. Please note that stainless steel can feel a little harder/rougher and more “sticky” than nickel-based strings, so there may be a short break-in period – in return you get the characteristic sharp top end and robust durability.
