The secret lies in the cobalt alloy used as a flatwound ribbon wrap around a steel core wire. This delivers high output and a more “rounded” yet still clear sound than many classic, very dark jazz flatwounds. The polished surface feels fast and low-friction, so your hand glides easily, and the strings remain comfortable over long sessions.

The set is Power Slinky 11–48, offering a bit more tension and a more “beefy” stability than lighter sets—ideal for a fuller rhythm sound, firmer intonation and a steadier attack.
