Ernie Ball 2621 is a 7-string electric guitar string set that delivers the familiar “Regular Slinky” feel, but with an extra low string, so you get full 7-string range without having to adjust to a completely different tension under your fingers. The result is a responsive playing experience with a clear, bright top end and a tight, controlled low end that works equally well for rhythms, leads and modern riffing.

The wound strings are roundwound with nickel-plated steel, providing a defined attack and a versatile tone with strong magnetic response for electric guitar pickups. The hex-core steel core helps with stable intonation and a firm, defined response when you play hard. The three plain strings are made from tin-plated high-carbon steel, offering good strength and tuning stability for bends and vibrato. And because the set is non-coated, you get the classic “workhorse” feel without the slick coating sensation.

The set suits standard 7-string tuning (B–E–A–D–G–B–E) and is a comfortable choice if you want a standard setup with gauges from 0.25 mm to 1.42 mm (0.03–0.14 cm). Please note that the lowest .056 (1.42 mm) may feel a little loose in drop A or lower, depending on playing style and scale length—many players choose a heavier 7th string for a tighter low end.
