Ernie Ball 2922 M‑Steel Hybrid Slinky is a set of electric guitar strings for players who want more volume, more punch and a low end you can physically feel in your hands – without giving up the easy playability of lighter treble strings. The ultra-high output construction delivers a richer, fuller tone with clearer attack, so your riffs cut through the mix and your leads get more bite. At the same time, the Hybrid Slinky gauge makes controlled bends and vibrato on the top strings effortless, while the lower strings stay tight when you hit hard.
The core is made from Maraging Steel in a hex core design, providing high strength, stable tuning and solid resistance to metal fatigue. The wound strings feature a patented Super Cobalt wrap that delivers extra output and a powerful low-end response you can both feel and hear – especially for palm mutes and heavy rhythm playing. The plain strings have a smooth, glossy metal look and are secured at the ball end with patented reinforcement, giving you improved durability, less risk of slippage and a more stable feel under aggressive playing.
Designed for 6-string electric guitar, this set is a perfect fit for rock, metal, pop and anything where you want both comfort and authority in the low end. Gauges are .009/.011/.016 on the treble strings for fast playability, and .026/.036/.046 on the bass strings for more weight and definition. The result is the familiar Slinky feel with a noticeably bigger sound, making your guitar more responsive whether you play at home, in the rehearsal room or on stage.
