Klaverskolen is a series of episodes where the instructor Mogens Balle explains and demonstrates a lot about keyboard instruments. You will not learn chords or specifically how to play the piano, but instead be introduced in the best possible way to a world of keys and gain a better understanding of where to start depending on what you want to do with your keys.

We focus on how different types of pianos and keyboards work, and how you can get started playing in the best possible way.

Episode 01 - Choosing an instrument and accessories

In the first episode, Mogens introduces you to a world of keys. He describes a lot of basic concepts you need to be aware of, and at the same time which accessories would be good to start with.

Episode 02 - Electric Pianos & Stage Pianos

In episode two, Mogens focuses on electric pianos and Stage Pianos, which are among the more popular categories of keys. Here we take a closer look at the sounds in the pianos, key weighting, features and accessories for them.

Episode 03 - Keyboards

In episode 03, we look at one of the most in-demand piano types, namely keyboards. Keyboards very often come with tons of sounds and functions, and Mogens will help you understand them in this episode.

Episode 04 - Digital Piano

In this episode, we take a look at the digital piano, or as Mogens likes to call them: furniture pianos. It is a beautiful instrument that suits almost any room very well. It is also an expensive category of keys, and therefore requires a slightly more in-depth explanation.

Mogens will tell you about:

Episode 05 - Multi-instruments

Episode 05 is a really fun episode. Here Mogens will talk about multi-instruments, and the 3 different ones he has with him are: stage piano, workstations and organs.

Episode 06 - MIDI Keyboards
