The Evolution
All the way back in 1994, the first CDJ player for digital music was released. It may not look like much today, but it paved the way for the current models and was a revolutionary player for its time.
Back then, Pioneer’s CDJ series was designed to play CDs in the same way DJs were used to playing vinyl.
(We still sell DJ turntables in many different models.)
They have chosen to retain the iconic name, even though modern CDJs are rarely used with physical CDs — and now they’ve introduced the new CDJ-3000X.
Although the similarities have gradually become fewer, you can still see the foundations that helped shape the new and improved versions.
