You get the classic, smooth flatwound comfort without losing attack and clarity. Cobalt flatwound technology delivers an unusually lively and articulate tone with high output, so your short scale bass stands out in the mix with more definition—while avoiding the rough feel and finger noise many roundwounds produce. The result is a bass sound with both warmth and punch that feels easy to control under your fingers.
The winding is a polished cobalt alloy ribbon wrap that feels silky-smooth and “fast” when you slide between positions. The flat, metallic surface sits cleanly against your fingertips and significantly reduces friction noise, so you can play tight, dynamic and noise-free—perfect for everything from soul and pop to modern rock, where you want both low-end and clear articulation. The hex core construction and an optimised core-to-wrap balance provide stable tuning and a tight response that remains consistent string to string.
The set is made specifically for short scale basses, giving you the correct fit and a naturally tight tension on a shorter scale length.
