Ernie Ball 1625 is a single .125 electric bass string, so you can quickly replace exactly the missing string and get back in action straight away. At the same time, you get a well-balanced bass tone with a warm, full low end, yet still enough punch and clarity to cut through the band mix.

The classic nickel wound/roundwound construction provides that familiar ridged surface that feels firm and “grippy” under your fingers. Nickel-plated steel wire is wound tightly and evenly around a tin-plated, hex-shaped steel core, ensuring stable tuning, solid intonation and a string that can take a beating—whether you play hard with your fingers or use a pick.

With a total length of 121.92 cm and a taper length of 94.62 cm, it’s a perfect heavy low B for a 5-string or a solid choice for tunings where you want more tension and control in the low end. Sold individually, it’s also ideal as a backup in your gig bag or as a building block when you want to put together your own custom string set.
